Invoicing Search Example

 

The following example demonstrates how to create a search to find two specified accounts that have invoices past a specific date. By using this type of search you can track outstanding invoices from particular accounts.

1.   From the Invoicing window, click Search.

The Search window appears displaying either a new search screen or if you have previously created a search request, the last request you created appears.

2.   If a search is already shown, to clear this information to create a new request, click Discard.

3.   From the New drop down list, choose the Where option.

4.   From the Field drop down list, select Account Reference.

5.   From the Condition drop down list, select Is Equal to.

6.   In the Value box, enter the COM001.

This search finds all records with an account reference of COM001.

7.   To add a second selection to your request, press the TAB key to move onto the next line.

A second line appears.

8.   From the new drop down list, select Or.

9.  From the Field drop down list, select Account Reference.

10. From the Condition drop down list, select Is Equal to.

11. In the Value box, enter the STE001.

This search finds all records with an account reference of STE001.

12. To add a third selection to your request, press the TAB key to move onto the next line.

A second line appears.

13. From the Field drop down list, select Invoice Date

14. From the Condition drop down list, select Is Less Than.

15. In the Value box enter 01/01/1999. Either type in the value or use the pop-up calendar.

16. When you have finished setting up your search request, you can save it by clicking Save As.

17. To apply the search request, click Apply.

18. To return to the module window to view your search results, click Close.
